Looking for a formal frame that would consistently answer to the requests of the design brief, we were inspired by a style that can be defined as Mediterranean Modern. A style expressed by residential architectures scattered along the coasts of the Mediterranean Sea, interpretating elements of classicism in a modernist key - arches, iconic staircases, rough surfaces, colors of the earth and the sun. Casa Malaparte in Capri or some Gio Ponti’s holiday houses in the North Italian riviera are examples of this architectural style.
In the interiors, our design takes on an abstract, at times surreal tone, crossing a series of spaces that follow one another in a fluid manner and suggest the domestic environments of a large single-family house.
With the aim of showing visitors ideas and potential uses, both the architecture and bespoke furnishings designed by us were made entirely with materials produced by our client.–
